The newest issue of Pangea Magazine January/February 2016

A word from the Editor

We dedicate this New Year’s edition of our magazine to women entrepreneurs, whose achievements were recognized  in  the World Day of Entrepreneurship of Women,  celebrated in November last year. We are pleased to report that women are gradually overhauling the wealthiest men. There are currently  145 female “billionaires” – an impressive number, considering that in 1995 only 22 of them could be called “fabulously wealthy!

We have not forgotten the opposite sex either, which is why we proudly present brief outlines of several  men who have become successful in business as well as in the political field in Great Britain. The male star of our issue, Daniel Kawczyński  MP, tells us about  the difficulties he needed to overcome as a Polish immigrant, and the first Polish person to sit in the British Parliament. We hope that Maciej Wiczyński, a new candidate for the Scottish Parliament, will soon be able to draw on the experience of his senior  colleague.

In the “Lifestyle” chapter, I particularly recommend the incredible story of the Polish brothers who travelled the Amazon River on bicycles.  If you crave adventure, I invite you to read the article which follows in the footsteps of the 19th Century expedition led by Stefan Szolc-Rogoziński, who explored such exotic countries as  Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Liberia.

The adventure, entitled  „Expédition Africaine Rogoziński – Vivat Polonia 2016”,  this time will be led by Maciej Klósak.

Happy reading!
