The Biggest Marionette Circus in the World

Universal Arts, Theatre Klinika Lalek and Momentum @ St Stephen’s are delighted to present The Biggest Marionette Circus in the World. This family delight will be performed at Momentum Grand @ St Stephen’s from 5- 30 August as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Life-sized elephant, giraffe and lion marionettes come to the Fringe in this breathtaking puppetry show to delight all ages.

Poland’s finest puppeteers have created this spectacular show especially for St Stephen’s Church. This circus without animals features life-size marionettes – the jovial Elephant, good-looking Giraffe and mighty Lion. All sing beautifully — the Giraffe about love, the Lion about courage, and the Elephant about happiness. They are joined by tamers, strongmen, acrobats and clowns.

“It’ll keep adults entertained too… this ticks all the boxes” ★★★★ Brighton Argus

Klinika Lalek combines a rich circus tradition with cutting-edge puppet technology and with virtuoso performers and incredibly life-like puppets.

The Company founded the Foundation to Support Alternative and Ecological Cultures, whose main aims are endorsing ecological activities and promoting art, as well as initiating and coordinating ecological actions. This latest show does just that, it celebrates nature and brings it to life.

The Biggest Marionette Circus in the World is part of the Universal Arts (Edinburgh) programme of international theatre, music and dance at Fringe 2015. Universal Arts has been programming and producing award-winning Fringe productions for 26 years – HERALD ARCHANGEL AWARD WINNERS 2009 for 20-year track record of top international theatre at the Fringe; “dedicated to quality” Daily Telegraph; “a long record of welcoming quality international work” The List
